the producers of The Partridge Family made the decision very early (right or wrong) that the the two youngest cast members weren't capable as actors and therefore very few lines were written for them. Very little dialogue ended up equating to very little screen time. Of course many of the guest stars they had on went on to bigger and better things and proved they were worthy of the exposure they got on the Partridge Family. People like Pat Harrington, Rob Reiner, Stuart Margolin, Vic Tayback, Jodie Foster, and future "Angels" Jaclyn Smith and Farrah Fawcett!

I recently saw an episode (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0670220/) that featured Charlotte Rae (AKA Mrs. Garrett on The Facts of Life) as a psychologist at Danny Partridge's school. Another episode (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0670205/) had Norman Fell, who would go on to become Mr. Roper on Three's Company. And there was of course, an episode (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0670182/) featuring Mark Hamill, a few years before he became Luke Skywalker.
