Hard to believe that it's been 19 years since this beloved actor and director passed away. He was definitely one of my all-time favorites and you could always count on him to deliver a good performance no matter what he did. He was also quite good behind the camera as well.

I went with The Incredible Hulk

When I think about it, I think he died of a broken heart. His son died from an illness, and his first wife, Brenda Benet took her own life.

I liked him in pretty much all his shows but if I had to pick just one it would be The Courtship of Eddie's Father.

The Hulk had the biggest impact on me; I guess I was the right age. Plus I think it lasted longer than any of the others and arguably gave Bixby the best chance to show his acting chops.

Great actor and great guy. I miss him a lot.

The Incredible Hulk, that's where I remember him from the most even though I saw all of the Goodnight, Beantown episodes. Plus I love TIH, it's one of my favorite TV shows. He was one of Hollywood's good guys and I miss him a lot.

The Incredible Hulk was by far his biggest success. You have sitcom fan in your username and haven't even heard of The Courtship of Eddie's Father or My Favorite Martian? I wouldn't say The Incredible Hulk was necessarily his biggest success. The TV series lasted 83 episodes, while My Favorite Martian easily surpassed it and went over the 100 mark at 107 episodes. And The Courtship of Eddie's Father had 10 less than Hulk at 73 episodes, but that is a decent amount of episodes for a show that only went three seasons, and was 23 episodes or more all three seasons. Incredible Hulk was cut from 18 episodes in season 4 (which was already 5 down from the 23 of season 3), to just 7 episodes for its final season. It either did very poorly for season 5, or CBS was nice enough to give Hulk a very short closing season to not end on a cliffhanger.

Sorry but Martian was before my time. I was born in the 70s and Martian aired in the 60s. I've never seen it on reruns anywhere have you?

Plus I'm quite sure the Incredible Hulk was more successful. It had 80 episodes PLUS 5 movies! They don't make movies of TV shows if the ratings were horrible so the ratings must have been quite good.

Martian hasn't anywhere that I know of. I am younger than you, was born in 1984. But I still know about shows from before then, with your username and heyday also being part of it was assuming you are in the camp that doesn't like modern or more recent sitcoms, but prefers classic sitcoms from an older era.

MFM was his biggest success. It was a top 10 hit in it's first season. Hulk has been the show that has been his biggest success in syndication. Martian and Eddie's Father just hasn't been syndicated that much.

I DO prefer classic sitcoms. I hate sitcoms from the past decade+ with a few rare exceptions and even they aren't that good.

I like Gilligan's Island and Get Smart from the 60s. I kinda like Bewitched too as some episodes are great while others are awful.

But I don't have a Ph.D in classic sitcoms or something!

So how I am I supposed to know about MFM?? You know old school people like us aren't going to watch sitcoms on Youtube! We want to see it on TV so MFM should run on MeTV or something.

It was a big toss up between Courtship of Eddie's father and My favorite Martian! I was going back and forth and finally decided on Courtship of Eddie's Father !;) But I really like them both! I wish they would be brought back on Antenna, METV or Cozi !:)

Both CEF and MFM were on the Milwaukee version of MeTV for at least a year in the 2008-2011 time frame. I think they disappeared with the national roll-out.
