Bewitched Thanksgiving Aunt Clara zaps everyone to Plymouth Rock.
The Bewitched Thanksgiving episode, can't be topped!!
OH Nuts! 11-27-2012, 09:01 AM BTW, if you do like these kinds of Xmas eps, check out Antenna TV, if you can. Last year they had an Xmas marathon of eps from many shows. I ended up burning few DVDs of such eps.
I know that as a kid I just loved the Mr. Magoo Xmas carol. As for other series eps, I'll have to review them to pick out my top favorites - which won't be easy as I like them all.
But I can pick three that really were truly outstanding and are ABSOLUTE MUST SEES should you come across them:
Bewitched - A Vision of Sugar Plums S1#15
Andy Griffith - A Christmas Story S1#11
Twilight Zone - Night Of The Meek S2#11
OH Nuts! 11-27-2012, 09:18 AM The Bewitched Thanksgiving episode, can't be topped!!
Oh yes that one was priceless. Poor Aunt Clara, always meaning well but always getting everyone into some kind of giant mess!
treky 11-28-2012, 02:38 AM I like the "FRASIER" Christmas episode "Miracle on third or fourth street".
Also the "MASH" episode "Dear Dad" (from the first season, when it was funny. Somone made a BIIIG mistake when, in the 4th season they let Alan Alda take over some of the writing and directing and every week it was "oh, we're doctors and we're nurses; and we're so good because we save lives; and death is such a bummer....")
And I like the I LOVE LUCY Christmas episode.
Also the one from THE HONEYMOONERS "The night before Christmas"
Ohio8 11-28-2012, 05:45 PM Specials:
1)"A Charlie Brown Christmas"
2)"How the Grinch Stole Christmas"
3)"Santa Claus is Coming to Town"
And several others I can't name right now.
Yooch 11-28-2012, 05:49 PM Cheers Thanksgiving episode with the food fight:
Diane: "Sam Malone...kiss your butt good-bye!" as she flings mashed potatoes at him.
My favorite Thanksgiving episode is from "The Beverly Hillbillies" and it is called "The Thanksgiving Spirit". It is notable for being the only episode in which the main casts of all three of Paul Henning's hit country sitcoms assemble together on one set: "Beverly Hillbillies", "Green Acres", and "Petticoat Junction". For a franchise known for making great 'crossover' episodes, this is by far the best one. The last scene where everyone is at the table listening to Jed say a prayer is a moment of real beauty which perfectly captures the moment, as is the studio publicity photo below.

McGillicuddy 11-28-2012, 10:51 PM I forgot about the BH-GA-PJ Thanksgiving episode. It was great! Also the best cross-over episode of all time.
That's a great picture, but I wish Jethro would have changed out of his costume. He kind of ruins the whole group shot!! Also, I bet everyone missed Bea Benaderet that day, when this was taken.:(
treky 11-29-2012, 12:36 AM Cheers Thanksgiving episode with the food fight:
Diane: "Sam Malone...kiss your butt good-bye!" as she flings mashed potatoes at him.

mets82 11-30-2012, 10:05 PM It was mentioned above about I Love Lucy's Christmas episode. I always was looking to see it as I had only had seen it once or twice before. Well, I watched it about a year or so ago and to me, I was disappointed. Nothing really happened.

Ohio8 08-15-2013, 07:17 PM Cheers Thanksgiving episode with the food fight:
Diane: "Sam Malone...kiss your butt good-bye!" as she flings mashed potatoes at him.
That was a good one!
mr awesome 08-15-2013, 11:11 PM NewsRadio and The Office had a bunch of great Christmas episodes. NewsRadio had one memorable Halloween episode in season 3 where Dave dressed in drag (ala KITH) and Lisa was jealous because he wore the dress better than her. Bill thought he was dying and got in with an 'old lady' which turned out to be a costume in a Hilarious visual gag.
Frasier had some excellent holiday episodes as well. The one Halloween episode I remember right off the bat was where Frasier had everyone dress up like their hero, he was Sigmund Freud of course.
Someone mentioned the Grinch parody on JSM, that was a good one. I remember Kelsey Grammer was the narrator.
tvfan25 08-16-2013, 07:53 AM The Cosby Show - Cliff's Wet Adventure - Cliff has to go to the grocery store in the rain about 3 times to keep getting stuff he forgot. Denise invites Martin's ex-wife to Thanksgiving dinner. There was about 20 people in their house for dinner.
