Like usual, my last two threads regarding the third-season episode "Samantha's Protest" have views but no replies! Par for the course! However, because of how far back in prehistory this show is, the vast majority of my posts here about anything get no replies! However, because of how strong an impact that episode had on my, I find myself using every excuse in the book to reinvent that topic. One thing that I have mentioned on a bunch of occasions is that, whenever I hear the word disgusting, it always takes me back to what Julie said about Katie's behavior when she was spinning Katie around and wrapping her arm around hers. In fact, I recently watched an episode of "Cheers" in which the word disgusting was used. However, I did not start a new thread because I thought it would be kind of redundant. In any event, I was recently over on You Tube and came upon an "All in the Family" episode called the "Blockbuster". Early in the episode Edith sees Archie coming in with a bag from Jefferson's Dry Cleaner. She responded to this situation with "oh good Archie" you remembered to pick up the dry cleaning." Once again, I was taken back to "Samantha's Protest"! Early in this episode, Katie and Julie were walking through the front door carrying packages that looked like they came from the dry cleaner. Nothing was said about the dry cleaner, the packages were simply used for picturesque reasons. In any event, it was during this scene that Julie delivered her classic line about how the handsome boy who they had passed was calling his dog and not whistleing at Katie! Later in the episode, Katie would meet up with the boy and flurt her little butt off! I think that, if Katie had been a nice girl, she would have taken the time and energy that it took to let herself get all giddy over the boy and used that time and energy to be thankful to have a lovely sister like Julie to run her errands with!
