I believe they've aired 6 or 7 episodes so far. The show wasn't half bad, I've seen much worse. And Terry O'Quinn was really good in it. I just wonder if the title turned people off.

It's difficult for horror themed shows to succeed on network television. Besides the X-Files, which was sorta sci-fi but really grounded in horror, I'm hard pressed to think of another one in the past twenty years. Millenium, yeah, sort of. But almost all other attempts have failed. Cable/pay TV seems to have more success in this area.

I watched the first ep of "666". It had potential but for me it played it's cards way too early in terms of what was going on. Then again, I heard they switched gears later on.

It's too bad they don't give shows more of a chance. Lots of classic shows had poor ratings in their first season only to rebound later. It's getting to the point where a lot of people don't want to invest time in shows anyone because so many of them will be cancelled with no resolution to the storyline (and most modern dramas do have ongoing storylines).

I didn't watch it because I saw the ratings first. I won't watch a new show if ratings are bad unless I see a full season pickup. Networks don't give shows a chance anymore so I'm leery about watching them.
