View Full Version : Well Three's Company Fans I regret to inform you that after December 2012,
TVFactFan 11-16-2012, 01:44 PM Three's Company will be on Hiatus:( Damm this is the second channel that has put the show on hiatus in the past 3 months and it's so annoying when there are 2 other shows that comes to mind that is NEVER on hiatus
good times/sanford and son
So according to the blog the show will air the remainder of the year and that will be it until whatever date it reappears on the schedule. SUCKS!!
gilligan fanatic 11-16-2012, 02:35 PM I don't even know the last time I watched it on TV. I'm happy just watching the DVDs

Me too. When I really enjoy a show, I rarely if ever watch any show on commercial TV if I have the DVD's. It is amazing to see how long the episodes seem compared to today's sitcoms when they are not edited and free of commercials. Almost a full half-hour as compared to what is left after stations insert all those commercials.

I I guess the DVD's is the bright of having no TC on Antenna:lol: It's still kind of fun just to turn to it and sit back:lol:
Mr. Television 11-16-2012, 08:14 PM The best part of having it on tv was seeing The Ropers and Three's a Crowd with it.

I think the Ropers only needed about 2 cycles. They should have TAC air after season 8 all the time since it's practically season 9 of Three's Company

I wish they would put both shows on DVD though.

I had the complete Ropers series Uncut saved on my Laptop and after watching the entire series I deleted it lol
Jude The Obscure 11-16-2012, 08:55 PM Will we even get to Three's A Crowd before the schedule changes? I only recently got Antenna TV (it was in the middle of the third season at that point)

I think so Jude since it usually airs after season 8 and right now the show is in mid season 7 on Antenna TV which means that season 8 will be completed by the first week of December.
PrettyinPink55 11-16-2012, 10:19 PM This makes me very very sad. :( :( :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:
I only own the first few seasons on DVD, and my favorites are seasons 4-8. :(
I hope they bring it back soon!!!
I enjoyed watching The Ropers too.
Three's a Crowd--I refuse to watch. I like to pretend it doesn't exist and that the roommates are still living together happily ever after with all the misunderstandings to last them a lifetime!! ;) I also NEVER watch the series finale of TC because I like to pretend that never happened either!! I HATE series finales!!!
Anyway...sad....:(

Christmas is coming! Put it on your list! The DVD's are a godsend. I don't know what I'd do without them. It's only sad to me because other kids won't be able to discover the show like I did when I was younger. Bummer. Hopefully it makes a comeback eventually.
And I totally agree with you about TAC and the finale. Agghhh.

TVFactFan 11-17-2012, 03:50 PM Another to add to the DVD Wishlist is "The Tag scene" to the Three's Company episode "Ralph's Rival"
LOL
Regulus 11-17-2012, 04:24 PM Take it from me, once you start watching DVDs you'll never want to watch it on either Broadcast or Pay-TV again. No Commercials or On-Screen Advertising to interrupt your viewing. :angryfire The Holidays are coming up, use your :santa2: "Santa Money" :santa: to purchase some commercial-free bliss. :D
BigManMike 11-17-2012, 04:29 PM At least in this cycle, Three's Company will finish it's run the week before Christmas and Three's a Crowd will get midway until it disappears from the schedule. I wish they could do a small Three's a Crowd farewell marathon to finish out the cycle.

Makes no sense for Antenna TV to start a new cycle of TAC when the show is being put in Hiatus. They should just put it on hiatus after they air the finale episode.
Jude The Obscure 11-18-2012, 06:47 PM oh well, I guess one day I'll just buck up and get the DVDs--I prefer watching the original versions of the episodes, including the theme songs in full length (and not the truncated ones used in syndication)

For some reason the opening theme for season 7 is not heard on cable or Antenna TV. When Antenna TV or TV Land aired season 7 it was always the Theme for season 6
USATVFAN 11-18-2012, 07:54 PM Will the World is going to end on December 21st anyway lol
But seriously, I haven't watched TC on Cable for a long time because I have my DVD's But I would watch it if if came one early enough because it comes on too late on TV Land which is another reason I have not watched it on TV for a long time because it comes on way too late(Or too early).

the opening theme on Antenna TV for season 7 is the truncated version with the brief chime and then "Come on knock on our door..."

Yeah I know it;s not the one I hear on the DVD

I don't think it's on TV Land at all anymore.
PrettyinPink55 11-21-2012, 01:50 AM Anyone have a link to the theme that's on the DVDs?
