They claim that Russell Johnson and Ed Platt from Get Smart are brothers. This is one celebrity relationship I've never heard of until today and I have very serious doubts that it's true.

yes ,I have NO idea why this rumor started. However, Ed and Russell are NOT related. I run the Ed Platt Tribute site which has been authorized by his children.

while we are talking about ridiculous rumors, I'd like to put forth a new one; that Bob Denver and Alan Hale, Jr. were secretly identical twin brothers and actually had a psychic link between them their entire lives.

Rob Roy, are you serious? I never heard of that one or are you pulling our legs! That goes up there with Alan being the REAL father of Etta James or that Alan was...adopted!;)

I always thought that Allan hale jr and Bob Denver were twins. It's really hard to tell them apart. I remember getting frustrated because I couldn't tell who was Gilligan and who was the skipper.

The same with Ed Platt and Russel johnon. Half the time I couldn't tell if I was watching Gilligans island or Get smart. :mad:

I know what you mean, the only way I could tell Gilligan apart from the Skipper was that the Skipper had a captains hat. If it wasn't for that I don't know how I could do it ;)
