I want to say "Happy Veterans Day" to the ones who fought for Freedom, and for the Afghanistan/Iraq Vererans out there...you deserve open arms back here (and some did too).

Penny Lane 11-12-2012, 01:06 PM My dad served in the Army/Air Force in China during WW2 supplying The Flying Tigers. My husband served in the Army from "62-'65 in Germany guarding the borders. This was just prior to the full blown Viet Nam "conflict". He almost volunteered to go there but his wonderful Superior officer talked him out of it thank goodness! The officer knew something that my husband didn't ,I guess, and I thank him whoever he is and wherever he is!This was years before we met. Actually I was only 10 years old when he enlisted!:D Thanks to all of our veterans!patriot: |
