Exclusive: "Mindy Project" Lands TV Vet Hal Linden

TV’s erstwhile Barney Miller is "Mindy Project"-bound.

Hal Linden, who portrayed the titular captain on the Emmy-winning ’70s sitcom, has booked a guest spot in an upcoming episode of the hit Fox comedy, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The veteran actor will play Manny, a former Army drill sergeant who is still living vigorously in a nursing home.
