Fractured Spinoff?

We can't just can't say spinoff because it's tons of missing links so we can all say it's a fractured spinoff and never debate this again?

OMG! You started another topic? OMG! What is we gonna do with you?

To be honest, I called it a fractured spinoff years back but I didn't think you agreed. Hell has frozen over along with New York City with fresh fallen snow outside my apartment building.

Solomon is the man!

The list of fractures

1. City the show was set in
2. Father's first name
3. Father's occupation

But Empty Nest had fractures too even worse in some cases:

Same house and Husband was a doctor but name was different completely and then replaced by actor Richard Mulligan.

Wife (Rita Moreno) was given a name change after the pilot and then was written out by episode one and then came back as ghost in last episode played by another actress.

There was one college daughter in pilot then she was only referred to in the series until season five played by another actress Lisa Rieffel.

Two more daughters (Kristy McNichol and Dinah Manoff) were added by episode one.

David Leisure in the pilot was next door neighbor "Oliver" and when the first episode aired, his name was changed to "Charley Dietz".

These were rough but it was still a spinoff.

Solomon, I gotta give it to you. At least you are being somewhat fair about the fractured spinoff comment.

IDK? Maybe the son was mentioned? However, their 18 year old daughter was the one seen onscreen.
