I've been reading a lot about these two channels on this site. I'll have to admit I'm a bit jealous. They sound like great channels, but I don't get either one. I have a subscription with DISH Network. Am I alone here? Is there anyone else who doesn't get Antenna-TV or ME-TV?

I get both channels and they are both awesome. :D

I also get both channels, though it took awhile to get Me-TV here. --From what I've been reading on this forum, there are some people that get both channels, others that get only one of them, and some people still do not get either.--It is rediculous that 2 of the best channels on TV now are not available all over the country yet. Although you probably know this,in the meantime(depending on where you reside of course) you can try using an antenna to see if you can pick up those channels.

Also, for people that live in more rural type areas,or any area for that matter it is beyond me why there is not some type of satellite,or somthing similair one can buy for a reaonable price so they can view these 2 FREE channels.

It's great for those of us who do not have cable (yes, there are those of us who have never had cable!!).

Neither channel is available in Canada because they refuse to go there --- and that to me is an absolute disgrace!

I totally agree w/ Cat79. 24 hrs a day 7 days a week there's always something on. It might not be my favorite show but it beats whatever is on the other 2,000 channels I get.

Netflix on demand has all of The Dick Van Dyke Show & Miami Vice now.

I like both channels but I give a slight edge to Antenna TV because ME-TV has paid programming on its channel. ME-TV do have good shows and I really liked there tribute to Andy Griffith. Antenna TV has more shows that I watch. Father Knows Best, Bachelor Father, Leave It To Beaver, All in the Family, Soap, Benson and sometimes Maude.

Yeah, the Cleveland affiliate pre-empted the lineup once last month for the Ohio Senate debate.

THIS channel is also excellent. Today it had Pal Joey w/ Kim Novak (one the hottest chicks ever!) & some little greaseball singer whose name escapes me at the moment.

Antenna, Me & This are easily my favorite channels. TCM occaisionally has some 60's comedies that are ok, AMC has lost all credibility IMO. Besides < that 99% of the rest of my 1,000 (joke) channels suck. I swear they will put absolutely anybody on tv these days for the most assinine reason. Including myself (I turned down Glass House & Redneck Island). Both shows sucked & the fact tv has sunken to out of the blue calling joe schmoes & repeatedly asking them to go some crap reality show proves this.

I'm able to get ME-TV (Buffalo area) and am enjoying so many classic shows.

And I understand they have Ironside and The Odd Couple in their library.

I've been trying to get Antenna TV -- maybe in 2013??

Here's what you need to do:

Contact your local mega-opolis cable company & tell them you'd like to add 3 2nd tier channels. They'll then tell you "Those channels are only included in our needlessly overpriced 1,000 suck channel package which we'd be happy to add to your lineup for only an additional $300 per month".:D

I'm guessing that they would tell me that they don't offer those channels.

What happens when you go to the Antenna TV website and put your zip code in?

When I did that a year ago that's how I was able to get a update on when the channel was coming

Nothing really. It just said that it's channel 2.2, which of course I'm not able to get. I found out that Me-TV is channel 46.2. My parents live close by and they're able to get the useless .1 channels, but none of the .2 channels.

I wrote to DISH yesterday. This is what I said...

"Please add Me-TV and Antenna TV to your lineup. PLEASE."

This is the reply that I got...

"Dear Mr. Mayes,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We understand your concern and we would be glad to assist you regarding the availability of Me-TV and Antenna TV. DISH is continually adding new channels, and we appreciate your feedback. We have submitted your request to our programming department. They will use this information to determine which specific channels are in high demand and which channels we will offer in the future. Please visit mydish.com to view all the channels and programming we offer.

For further assistance, you can also visit myDISH.com/chat to start a live chat with a Customer Service Representative.

Thank you for your email."

Maybe there's some hope.

Unfortunetly, This is a standard reply to a channel request- Dish or Directv Do not have the BW to support multiple multi-cast feeds from the various affiliates- The only way that the channel is covered on satellite is if the local station it self is a .1 (For Example Metv in Chicago is on 23.1 so both Dish and Directtv carry it in the Chicago DMA. Your best bet is to check with your local cable company and see if they carry them or go to antennaweb.org and see the type of antenna you will need based on your zip code.

I can't get cable where I live.

Don't know what type of home your in (Home, apt, condo, townhome, etc)- so if your allowed you will have to research on Antennaweb based on your zip what type of OTA antenna is needed. Otherwise it won't happen with Dish or Directv.
