Bill Cosby played a physical education instructor
and athletic coach in this warmhearted comedy. The
setting was a the mythical Richard Allen Holmes High
School in a lower-middle-class neighborhood of Los
Angeles. Stories depict the trials and tribulations
of Chet Kincaid, a man who gives of himself to help
others. Chet's relationships with family, students,
and fellow teachers were emphasized, giving free rein
to Cosby's gentle sense of humor and philosophy. His
family life with his mother, Rose, his brother, Brian,
and his sister-in-law, Verna, were as much a part
of the program as his professional life with the
principal, Mr. Langford; the guidance counselor,
Marsha Peterson; and lots of kids.

I loved the Cosby Mysteries best of all his series. Yes, I recall his hosting a game show, You Bet Your Life, after Cosby Show finished. Did anyone catch it?
