From "Modern Family" to "The New Normal," TV's gay dads aren't being portrayed accurately.

Not a dad, but Max from Happy Endings is by far the best gay character on TV right now and really the only one who doesn't have "gay" as his main defining trait.

What is wrong with Mitchell and Cam? Mitchell is the primary breadwinner, while Cam takes care of the child and has his part time jobs. They live in suburbia, have friends of both genders and sexual orientation and are basically nice people.

Isn't that sort of the model of what LGBT wants to present to the American public? The problem is that LGBT wants to see the actors kissing and actively being in bed together, which is a last taboo that the network isn't ready to cross. LGBT puts on this "we are so persecuted......" bit, which puts organizations and companies on the defensive, which pushes the agenda forwards.

Then there is the problem of Eric Stonestreet being straight. If I were gay, I would be offended at that to a degree perhaps. It is also taboo for a heterosexual to kiss a man sexually even if it is an act.

Probably because TV LIFE isnt supposed to be REAL,thats why they use different names and all...

Nothing has to be accurate on TV,it can all be made up... If ppl reaise this, they wont be dissapointed!
