It seems I'm in the minority, but I don't think Esther is ugly. I guess I like her character so much it transcends anything else.

I don't think Ester is half as bad as Fred made her out to be. And Ester did look nice in that espisode.

My sentiments exactly. She was also OUTRAGEOUSLY funny; she made the show as far as I'm concerned. Her scenes with Fred were priceless; and the clip is a good example.

I know in her debut episode, she chased those hoodlums out of Fred's house. In the later seasons, Fred made her cry by calling her a loser. Esther definitely had mellowed.

Agreed! I LOVE LaWanda/Aunt Esther. She, Fred and Lamont made the show what we are all still talking about today, 35 years after it was filmed!

Esther looked horrible in every episode on the show i can see why she coudent find any other man other then drunk woodrow he was too drunk to no a good looking women from a bad looking women lol
