View Full Version : Wow, no episode of the Office tonight because TVFactFan 11-01-2012, 05:45 PM of a 2 hour airing of the Voice. I had no idea because my TV guide never arrived last week Mr. Television 11-01-2012, 06:40 PM I think it's a rerun of Monday's show. A lot of the stations on the East Coast didn't air it because of Hurricane sandy. TVFactFan 11-01-2012, 06:51 PM I think it's a rerun of Monday's show. A lot of the stations on the East Coast didn't air it because of Hurricane sandy. That f*cking Hurricane has screwed so many lives up one way or another. Yes I have power but still waiting for my references to be checked so I can receive a job offer. That hasn't happened because the company was closed Mon and Tue. And now the programming that was affected is the NBA game tonight which was cancelled and the Office episode is not airing. What a year AKA 11-01-2012, 07:28 PM A lot of TV episodes were postponed or canceled because of the storm. I wonder how it's going to affect Sweeps. Best of luck on that job offer, Sol! Regulus 11-01-2012, 07:42 PM Hurricanes don't blow..... :angryfire THEY SUCK!!! :angryfire TVFactFan 11-01-2012, 08:05 PM A lot of TV episodes were postponed or canceled because of the storm. I wonder how it's going to affect Sweeps. Best of luck on that job offer, Sol! Yes that's the annoying part, the reference process, then if you get offered the job you have to wait for the letter in the mail So that damm Hurricane delayed everything. AKA 11-01-2012, 08:17 PM I'm pretty lucky living on the West Coast. We don't get hurricanes, but we do get blizzards and sometimes even ice storms in Spokane. I feel for you. That was the 1st Hurricane I ever experienced Irene was really nothing last year AKA 11-01-2012, 08:47 PM I was in a tropical storm in Texas back in the summer of 2007. That was the scariest rain/lightning I've ever experienced. It probably wouldn't have been as frightening had I not been in a metal fifth wheeler that night. AKA 11-01-2012, 08:51 PM Just looked it up. It was Tropical Storm Erin I was in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical_Storm_Erin_(2007) Regulus 11-01-2012, 09:43 PM Every year since I moved to Florida (October, 2000) I have experienced at least one Tropical Storm or Hurricane. This year I experienced tropical-Storm force winds from four Storms, Beryl, Debbie (Does Florida), Isaac and Sandy. Every June I make sure my Pantry is stocked with non-perishable food. The Generator is fired up to make sure it's operational, and the garage is stocked with supplies such as bottled water. I also fill up seven five-gallon containers with gas. Once the season ends, I place the supplies in general use, from December to May my Food and Gas expenses are practically nil. My Prayers go out to those affected by this storm. Remember, this was a Minimal Hurricane! Mr. Television 11-01-2012, 11:16 PM That was the 1st Hurricane I ever experienced Irene was really nothing last year I grew up in NC. It seemed like every year we had Hurricane Warnings. I remember taping up windows, moving things inside the house so they wouldn't blow away. One time we and our neighbors even went away to Raleigh to escape a Hurricane. I never experienced a direct hit before but did have tropical storm like weather. I remember once our shed got blown over into the next street. Another time we had shingles from our roof torn off like they were paper. Hurricanes are just bad news. Mike said on Facebook that another Hurricane maybe coming soon in a few weeks Mr. Television 11-01-2012, 11:23 PM Just looked it up. It was Tropical Storm Erin I was in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical_Storm_Erin_(2007) The first Hurricane that effected me was Agnes. I don't remember much about it...only the after-effects. We were visiting my Grandma in Wilkes- Barre Pa when the Susquehanna River flooded. We were trapped in her house on top of the hill with alot of my other relatives whose homes were flooded. It was also my 7th birthday. It's one birthday I never forgot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Agnes Mr. Television 11-01-2012, 11:27 PM Mike said on Facebook that another Hurricane maybe coming soon in a few weeks Wow. Hurricanes don't usually come out this late. I hope he's wrong. Regulus 11-01-2012, 11:44 PM The Hurricane Season Officially runs from June 1 to November 30, however storms have been recorded in the N. Atlantic during all the "Off" Months throughout recorded history. Two more storms and there will be one named after me. If Hurricane William becomes a reality it will hit Florida and turn the EPCOT Dome into the World's Biggest Golf Ball! TVFactFan 11-02-2012, 06:54 PM I think it's a rerun of Monday's show. A lot of the stations on the East Coast didn't air it because of Hurricane sandy. Found out it was a new episode scheduled for last night because the TV guide issue I had was a double issue-lol So that's why I didn't receive a TV Guide last weeklol: |
