Larry got Jack into all sorts of trouble, and in some instances...real danger. He always seemed to have his own interests at heart first before anybody else's. I realize that that was just Larry being Larry, but would you consider him a bad friend to Jack? Would you want a friend like Larry?

But don't you recall when Deborah caught Jack two timing her and stormed out but Larry found Deborah and brought her back to patch things up with Jack?

Larry was girl crazy no doubt but also seemed to help Jack when he really needed it!

Their friendship should have been over when Larry used Jack's real name to get out of a date and caused Wally to look for him lol

Oh no doubt there were times when Larry came through for Jack. But, it seemed like a lot of those problems were started by Larry in the first place!! I guess if anything, Larry was trouble!! ;)
He did give women Jack's name as opposed to his own several times.

But why couldn't Larry just make up a name? LOL Josh Smith, Tony Johnson, or Rick Jones.

I wouldn't say Larry was a good friend but he was never boring. lol

Larry probably deserved a few quick swifts to the nards and I probably wouldn't have been able to handle him as a friend...buuut I think in the end he meant well. He was just very self absorbed.

The female roommates sure had no problem showing their dislike for Larry!!

Because it created storylines. If Wally went after Josh Smith no one cares on TC and there's no storyline!

I think if Larry had it his way, Jack would be around him all the time and they would be like the two guys on Wedding Crashers.

I just noticed Larry's only on the cover of 3 of the 8 DVD cases eventhough he was there all 8 years!

And in the opening credits of Seasons 4-8! Mind you, the respective landlords aren't on the covers of Seasons 1, 2, 5 and 8 either.

Jack had more of a conscience though. Larry would've liked it that way, but Jack wouldn't have done it!!!

I like when you said TwinBrother, that Larry was Jack's alter ego. I think in some ways that's true. Some of the best/most entertaining friendships in TV and even in real life are when friends are opposites or of different natures. They tend to bring out different sides in each other, to compliment each other. Larry certainly added flair to Jack's life!!
