Happy Halloween y'all.

Just a shame JamesG isn't here. He's always crazy for Halloween. I hope he survives Hurricane Sandy.

Very good, Marlene.

Had 113 TOT (trick-or-treaters). Last year it was 119. So about the same.

Good weather for Halloween... no rain, no Santa Ana winds, maximum temperature was 77 degrees.

The TOT did not start coming by until a little after 6:30 PM. By 8:45 PM, it was pretty much over. So I drove over to a nearby neighborhood of which there are several Halloween displays on the same street.

113? That's insane! Hope you were still able to give out plenty of the good stuff!

Yes, the last two years, a lot more TOT.

Makes running my show more worth it.

Ralphs had very good buy on candy. 100 pieces of Reese's, Hershey's, Kit Kat and Whoppers for $11.00. I bought two bags, so 200 pieces was plenty.

Very cool! That's what I like to hear. I bet the trick-or-treaters make it a point to go to your house. :) Houses like yours are the ones I remember from Halloween, even later.

Yes, more than a few people said they like going to my house to see the display.

I plan on keeping the "Halloween room" set up all year, like usual!

Keeping the room set up all year sounds like the way to go, especially if you have a lot of stuff. Do you add something new to it each year?

I'll keep the Halloween room as long as possible.

I try to add one new prop each year. This year, I added the fog machine. Last year, it was the "gatekeeper."

I think I mentioned that someone who has "custody" of many of the props of the former Hallowed Haunting Grounds is trying to sell it. The entire show/sets or each prop at a time. I have contacted him about my interest in buying the Wandering spirit and the monk over the well. Those two props would look great in my Halloween room. :)
