Just curious, does anyone know the meaning behind the name Wednesday Friday? (I know they are days of the week!)

At one time, I thought "Wednesday" was only an unusual name . I did read where Charles Addams gave her the name "Wednesday", based on the well -- known nursery rhyme "Monday's Child" . The best known version says "Wednesday's child is full of woe" . An early version says an early version said "Friday's child is full of woe", perhaps reflecting traditional superstitions associated with bad luck on Friday .

In the "Addams Family" article on Wikipedia, Wednesday is called "Wednesday Friday Addams" . By the same token, Wikipedia also has an entry for "Wednesday Friday Addams" .

Morticia Frump Addams: My name is Mrs. Addams, and I want you to find my little girl Wednesday.
Sgt. Haley: Look, I'll find her Tuesday, if I can, but don't give me no deadlines, will you please?
Morticia Frump Addams: Wednesday is her name.
Sgt. Haley: Oh, and I suppose you're gonna tell me her middle name is Thursday, huh?
Morticia Frump Addams: Friday
