Exclusive: "Parenthood" Taps "Breaking Bad's" Betsy Brandt to Play Hank's Ex-Wife

Ex marks the spot for "Breaking Bad's" Betsy Brandt, who has been cast as the former wife of Hank Rizzoli (Ray Romano) on Parenthood, TVGuide.com has learned.

Brandt, who plays Skyler's sister Marie on the AMC series, is slated to appear on one episode of the NBC family drama. An airdate for her episode has not been set.



Fans first learned about Hank's past when his hard-to-please teenage daughter Ruby came to visit. After Sarah (Lauren Graham) won Ruby over by fake-cropping her into a picture with Justin Bieber, she won Hank over as well:

He kissed his (newly engaged, we might add) assistant in the most recent episode. How much trouble could his ex stir up?

"Parenthood" is bringing back Hank’s ex!

"Breaking Bad‘s" Betsy Brandt is returning for the NBC drama’s sixth and final season as Hank’s estranged wife, Sandy, and mother to Ruby, sources confirm to TVLine.

Brandt is set to appear on a recurring basis beginning with the Sept. 25 opener.
