Did the two Actresses leave of their own will? Did Aaron Spelling write them out of the series himself? I know he was pretty much forced during Season 1 to give the show a major shakeup (Bringing Heather Locklear on Board, Making Michael "Mr Bad Guy" etc). In order for the show to survive a near cancellation a new direction was needed.
