Andrea posted this elsewhere, but I though I would repost it here. (Thanks Andrea):
If you believe everything about Seattle from movies and TV, you’d think the city is pretty weird. As in, wet, creepy, die-of-fright weird. Ten things Hollywood got wrong:

The opera isn't that big of a deal here. It's great that Frasier and Niles loved it so much, but come on guys. Also, that view from Frasier's apartment just doesn't exist.
Hold on now, the show may have given that impression, but it was only the opinions of the Crane boys. (Love Niles' attention to Daphne in this photo)
Come on now... it is an actual photo! I took the last two posted here.
that view FROM Frasier's apartment just doesn't exist.
LOL, because Frasier's apartment doesn't exist.
NOTE: Not trying to be too trivia. Just having a little fun.

Do they mean there's no apartment buildings in that spot that would have that view??
But you seem to have been standing right in Frasier's apartment when you took your photo... where were you? In some high rise building or restaurant or landmark or something? Actually by the trees in the foreground, it almost looks like you might have been at the top of a hill or something, maybe there's a road there? So I guess what they are saying is that the view can't be seen from a place where Frasier's high rise apartment building-- or any high rise apartment building-- would be... maybe?? Now that they mention it, it does seem like the perspective could be off, and that you'd have to be a bit out of town to have a view like that, whereas Frasier's apartment was supposed to be right in the heart of the city.
And those two photos you took are very cool, by the way, thanks for posting them. :)

You're very welcome. Those pictures were shot from Queen Ann Hill while I stood in Kerry Park.

Wow, that is so awesome!!!!!
Thanks for posting the photos.
As for Seattle, I would love to live in that city. I'm a huge fan of rain, which we don't get enough of in Philly as I would like.
