"American Horror Story" Scoop: Dylan McDermott Returning in Season 2

Another familiar face will be popping up in the second season of "American Horror Story"!

Dylan McDermott is returning for a second round, executive producer Ryan Murphy announced on Twitter Wednesday.

Details on his role were unavailable, but in the first season, McDermott played Ben Harmon, the adulterous inhabitant of Murder House who died along with his wife (Connie Britton) and daughter (Taissa Farmiga) by season's end.



McDermott is among the many returning castmembers set to make an appearance — presumably at Briarcliff Manor where the second season takes place — including Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Zachary Quinto, Lily Rabe and Frances Conroy.

"American Horror Story: Asylum" premieres Wednesday at 10/9c on FX.
