(Ralph is at the kitchen table. He is all upset.)

Ralph: "Boy, what a BUM umpire. He blew that call."

Alice: "Ralph, you are acting like that call costed the Yanks the game. They still would of lost."

Ralph: "I am not discussing this with you again. That umpire was obviously on Detroit's side. He was biased."

Alice: "He was biased? He can't be biased. That's not his job."

Ralph: "Oh, you must know him then."

Alice: "I do not."

Ralph: "Then how can you tell? How can you tell?"

Alice: "All I can say is that that umpire tried to be fair. Let me put it to you this way. If the Yankees won 3-0 and the umpire blew that call in favor of the Yankees you would say that the umpire was fair."

Ralph: "I am not going to discuss it with you Alice."

(Ed comes down.)

Ed: "Hey Ralphie boy. What a bad game. Now the Yankees got to go to Detroit down two games. I got to say something Ralph. If the umpire ruled that call in favor of the Yankees, the Yankees still would of lost. Blown call or no blown call by that fair umpire, they would of lost."

Ralph (raising his fist, yells): "YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS NORTON?"

(Ed leaves.)

(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)

Jackie: "THank you. Good night everyone."

(Audience cheers.)
