Two months ago, I was in a car accident and the car I was driving got totaled. I did get my insurance check, but since it was under my brother's name...he used it to pay-off HIS car.

Now I'm not only carless...but I can't afford another car and my Drivers License is about to expire. I'm just thinking of getting a State ID and forget about driving because I can't get the money for it unless I take-out a loan which I actually am trying to do.

Looks like no one is there to help me, I cry for "HELP"...but they are just saying "Help Yourself"!

Should I just renew my Drivers License even though I think it's pointless now, or just get a State ID and say forget it?

I wouldn't let my driver's license expire. Sometime in the future, you may have another car but no license. And then you would have to take a driving test all over again. I can't imagine having to take another driving test all over again. I was 17 when I took my driving test the first and last time. I'm over 40 now and there's no way I would want to go through that all over again. Renew the license...that's my advice for you. As for the insurance check, I think it's pretty crappy that your brother is profiting off of your accident, but then again, it wouldn't have happened if you had your own insurance. Do things for yourself. Don't rely on others if you don't have to.

Thanks Roger...I know that we don't see eye-to-eye sometimes, but right now I'm getting sick of getting taken advantage of.

I'll try living in a Group Community by 2013 and it'll only be for a year and maybe I'll have more money aside.

I'm tryin to take-out a loan, but will I get approved if I only get $400 from work and $400 from the Government?
