The key problem that Seinfeld more than likely suffers from is that ever since it really hit it big (Season 4), about 95% of sitcoms airing after that have seemingly copied Seinfeld to varying degrees. Therefore, what was funny, new, exciting and groundbreaking then doesn't seem so now because it's been seen so many other places.

Just to interject here while I agree that Seinfeld is a funny show, yeah maybe still a timeless show to this day in reruns, but as the greatest show ever? I mean come on let's be real if the world were to end tomorrow then yeah I can agree.

But every 5 or 10 years another show will come along and be called as greatest, the current state of sitcoms is suffering but that doesn't mean there isn't another "great sitcom" just waiting in the wings.

I can't even believe I'm saying this but I don't like Seinfeld as much as I did. I've even contemplated getting rid of my DVD's, but I know I would regret it massively. I think I'm just into other shows now and Seinfeld is on the back burner b/c I still watch it occasionally. I go through fazes, but I just don't think it's as funny as it was before. Of course this is coming from someone who has seen every episode multiple times.
