Laurel 09-29-2002, 08:33 PM When I was growing up in the 1970's, I created a story about a failing midwestern television station (KRUM-TV) which turned itself around and became the "TVLand" of its day. Joe Bargain, the owner of KRUM-TV, took a tough stance on his station's programming and refused to air any programs produced after 1975. Mr. Bargain has softened over the last two decades and now refuses to air any programs produced after 1988.
Here are the "golden oldies" that air regularly on the fictitious KRUM-TV:
Adam-12, All in the Family, Andy Griffith Show, The Avengers, Banana Splits Adventure Hour, Barney Miller, Batman, Ben Casey, Beverly Hillbillies, Bewitched, Big Valley, Bob Newhart Show, Bonanza, Brady Bunch, Bugs Bunny and Looney Tunes, Burke's Law, Checkmate, CHiPs, Combat, Courtship of Eddie's Father, Davey and Goliath, The Defenders, Dick Van Dyke Show, Dragnet, and Family Affair.
