LOL I Know! That is one movie besides Silence Of The Lambs that I could not watch! Too gruesome and creepy! I have tried but just couldn't do it! My taste in horror movies are films like Poltergeist and The Haunting(the 1960 version). I like a good ghost story. I hate slasher films and I am reluctant to watch films like The Exorcist or The Omen.(Devil possession themed) . I tried watching Silence Of The Lambs once but I gave it up after about 15 minutes! Too, too creepy for me!

George IV of England (1820 to 1830). When his father, George III, went insane in 1811, George the Younger became regent, and so the period between 1811 and 1830 is known as the "Regency era." Regent's Park in London is named for him.

George V of England (1910-1936). As the king of Great Britain during World War I, he renounced the German lineage of the House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha founded by his grandfather, Prince Albert, and changed the royal family name to Windsor.

The future King George VII? Maybe . . . Prince Charles - Charles Philip Arthur George, Prince of Wales, has been rumored to be considering reigning as George VII when he becomes King of England. Why? Because the two English kings named Charles were not nice guys. Charles I was a tyrant, and Charles II was a hedonist. But since Charles likely won't become king until he's 80 or so, he will likely reign as King Charles III.

catlover - Thanks! I saw this movie when it first came out - I was twelve - and I actually liked it, but after I heard Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road, and after I saw the movie on TV having heard the original Beatles records, I realized what piece of crap this film was! I too blame no one but Robert Stigwood for this movie. Frampton turned it down at first; he only did it because Stigwood said he was getting Paul McCartney to star in it, but Frampton only learned that Paul wasn't going to do it after he signed the contract! The Bee Gees never wanted to do it because they'd been compared to the Beatles's lighter side in the '60s and they thought they were beyond that. Frankie Howerd said it was like being in Saturday Night Fever without the fever. :D Michael Schultz was pretty much working for Stigwood as the director - it wasn't his vision - and George Martin only did it because he felt responsible to keep the Beatles' music from being overseen by someone who didn't know a thing about it. I've made it my life's work to keep younger Beatles fans from seeing it so they'll be spared psychological harm.

By the way, I had a T-shirt just like Robin's!

In this chapter of the book, he shares some of the critics' takes on the movie. The best one came from Janet Maslin:

"This isn't a movie, it's a business deal set to music."

One thing I really did like, and that was Robin Gibb's heartfelt take on "Oh! Darling". Very nice.

I like it too! Robin had such a nice voice.

The SEAT Leon, and its interior. SEAT is a Spanish car brand. I know what you're thinking - "Oh, Steve, where can I get one?" Well, that's the thing. You have to renounce your American or Canadian citizenship and move to Spain or somewhere else in Europe to buy one. Or, if you're an American, wait 25 years and buy a used one to bring over here yourself! That's the law! SEAT is owned by Volkswagen.

Carl Hahn (b. 1926), "Mr. Volkswagen." He was the president of Volkswagen of America from 1958 to 1965 and chairman of the entire Volkswagen company from 1982 to 1993. He hired the ad agency that made all those wonderful Beetle ads in America (Doyle Dane Bernbach) as VWoA's president, and he bought SEAT and Škoda after becoming chairman of all of VW. Hahn also started VW's Chinese operations, and he gave his blessing to the American version of the GTI.

Ferdinand Piëch (b. 1937), grandson of Ferdinand Porsche, nephew of Ferry Porsche, and son of lawyer Anton Piëch. He became chairman of Volkswagen in 1993 and turned the company around after years of inefficiency - and he helped turn around the VW brand in the United States, where it was about to die. He oversaw the production of the New Beetle and developed the fourth-generation Golf and Jetta. Piëch ran VW-owned Audi from 1988 to 1991 and turned Audi from a buttoned-down Buick-type car brand into a serious maker of premium luxury sport vehicles. He remained chairman of Volkswagen's supervisory board after stepping down as CEO in 2002.
