Ralph Kramden, a NY Yankee fan? (Part 4) (The Baltimore Orioles beat the NY Yankees 2-1.)

(Ralph & Ed are having lunch at the bus depot.)

Ed: “What a heartbreaking game last night.”

Ralph: “Those Yankees really blew it.”

Ed: “Now those Orioles have the momentum tonight. I just hope the Yankees get the lead early and keep it.”

Ralph: “You are so right Norton. The Yankees were striking out almost every time last night.”

Ed: “The good thing is they don’t have to go back to Baltimore for game 5.”

Ralph: “Yeah, that is good. Those Baltimore fans must really be enjoying themselves. They better enjoy it while they can because I have a feeling that the Yankees will do it again.”

Ed: “Lose?”

Ralph: “No stupid. Win. Boy, it will be great too. But, if the Yankees lose, I think they should fire that Joe Giradi. He has been a disappointment for the most part. He would need to go.”

Ed: “That could be true Ralph. But, if the Yankees win tonight, here come the Yankees.”

(They both sing the Yankee theme song: “Here Come The Yankees.”)

(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)

Jackie: “Thank you. I am proud that our songwriters, Lyn Duddy and Jerry Bressler were able to get the OK to use the Yankee theme song.”

(Audience cheers.)

Jackie: “The Miami Beach audiences are the BEST! GOOD NIGHT!”

(Audience cheers.)
