on the 20th of June, I posted a thread called "Katie's Crotch". This was one of my many failed attempts to stimulate some conversation about this fine series! At this point, it is getting pushed farther and farther down the page. Most of what is pushing it there is other fruitless attempts by me to start some conversation about this fine series! Such is life! In any event, I notice that, even though it does not have a single reply, it has eighty-six views. I would like to commemorate this event by mentioning something that happened in 1986. I bet that the majority of you are familair with the term "Jump the Shark". I bet that you are also familair with the fact that it started out as a "Happy Days" term. Well, over on the "Happy Days" page, I learned that there is going to be a "Jump the Shark" marithon on some channel that I had never heard of before. This will be twenty-four hours of episodes of shows that caused the series as a whole to go downhill. I have heard of a lot of different schools of thought about when and if this happened on "Gimme a Break!" A lot of folks will say that it was in 1985 when the chief died. However, in my opinion, there were some pretty decent episodes in the school year 1985/86. I would say that the true kiss of death was at the begging of school year 1986/87 when Nell, Addie, Joey and Grandpa moved from California to New York! Lord help us! I would say that that was truely a waisted season! A joke in its own time! At one point, I read a post by someone who referred to it as a "Laverne and Shirley" clone. Do any of you think that that was a good way of describing it? In any event, I thought that writing about this situation would be a good way of celebrating the eighty-six views of "Katie's Crotch"! Bye!
