That is not a connection, that is just a dancing style of the 70's.
A connection would be more like a guest star playing the same character on both shows.

Carol did dance a lot like Thelma with the arms swinging above her head and the way she shook her hips!

If that's the case then both shows has a connection to Soul Train

The characters, Brieannas, . I just noticed how both shows have so much in common.

You said that they were both dancing the same dance style. I say that it's just a style of the 70's. So with your logic, both shows has a connection to Soul Train. Or every show in the 90's where a character did the Running Man, they all have a connection. LOL

I bet it's no other sitcoms from the 70's that had a woman dancing like Thelma and carol.

That's true. I can't think of any other 70s sitcom that has women dancing like Thelma and Carol.
Brieannas21 10-09-2012, 10:29 PM I bet it's no other sitcoms from the 70's that had a woman dancing like Thelma and carol.
That is probably because most of the sitcoms in the 70's had older women or there were no dancing scenes. The only other sitcom that I can think of that had dancing in it is The Jeffersons, when Helen and George were dancing at the dance club.
And I still say using your way of thinking, Both shows has a connection with Soul Train.

I think that was a YOUNG GIRL dance because Helen willis never danced like Thelma or carol

It's a dance period. A dance that a lot of people were doing in the 70's does not make a connection. Like I said, a connection would be a guest star who played the same character on both shows. Not a dance.
