I know this is probably a longshot considering the vintage, but I'm looking for a copy of the broadcast premiere of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow".

For clarification, this is the 1980 version starring Jeff Goldblum as Ichabod and Dick Butkus as Brom Bones. Paul Sand is also in the film. The film was produced by Schick Sunn Classics.

I actually have this film in my collection already. However, I recently learned that the original NBC broadcast was introduced by Gary Coleman and Steve Allen and included bits with them throughout as they watched the film. These bits were apparently edited out of later broadcasts of the film, as the versions I saw as a kid didn't have them, and neither does my taped copy (of 1988 vintage).

I have enjoyed this film since I was a kid, and I would love to see these excerpts if anyone has them.

I never knew this ran on network tv. I have a beta master from 1981 from a Indianapolis syndicated airing I believe.

I'd be interesting in picking up a burn of that 81 syndicated airing for sure. Does it have commercials?

It was just NBC capitalizing on Coleman's popularity of the time..
