Just finished watching Dr. Morkenstein - the episode where Mork gives life and emotions to a robot in a museum - the robot is near the end of life cycle and then breaks down both physically and emotionally so to speak and there's a very dramatic scene between Mork & the robot where the robot (Chuck) is at the end. Finally, in the tag Orson scene, Mork is very emotional about letting go, etc. Overall, it was very dramatic and not funny at all.
Does anyone know the inside story on this episode? Was Robin Williams dealing at the time with the death of a close friend/relative or something? I don't know, for me, the last part was so over-the-top dramatic I can't imagine there not being some bigger picture that either went over my head (was it a message about dying with dignity?) or something that was going on in real life with Williams.
