(The NY Yankees beat the Baltimore Orioles 7-2.)
(Alice is cleaning up. She checks the time.)
Alice (to herself): "One...two...three."
Ralph & Ed (from hallway, imitating John Sterling, yell): "THE YANKEES WIN! THHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHE YANKEES WIN!"
(Ralph & Ed enter with bottles of beer.)
Alice: "Ralph, once again you and Ed have entered in here during the overnight hours yelling at the top of your lungs. I wish you two would use more common sense."
Ed: "What Alice, are you a fan of the Oreos?"
Ralph: "You certainly are a stupe. They played the Baltimore ORIOLES."
Ed: "Well, I can't wait for later on tonight when me and Ralph board the train so we can see the game tonight at Camden Yards."
Ralph: "Yeah and when the Yankees win, we will rub it in those people's faces. Ha ha ha!"
Alice: "Ooooh, you two."
Ed: "I love the fact that we are going to be in Baltimore. Right by the bay. In other words, when I see all that water, I will feel right at home."
(Ralph rolls his eyes.)
Ralph: "Yeah, you wll Norton. Not surprisingly, Garrity and Joe Fenstablau are rooting for the Orioles. I would love to see the expression on their faces when the Yankees win the World Series."
Ed: "I always hate to see the expression on your face if the Yankees lose their opportunity to win a 28th World Series this year."
Ralph: "What are you talking about Norton? The Yankees got it in the bag this year. Am I ever wrong and if I am tell me all the times I have been wrong."
Ed: "You have been wrong in the past. I think you have been wrong a million times."
Ralph (yells): "GET OUT! GEEEEEEEEEEET OUT!"
(Ed leaves.)
(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)
Jackie: “Ladies and gentlemen as always the Miami Beach audiences are the best.”
(Audience cheers.)
Jackie: "Audrey Meadows."
(Audience cheers.)
Jackie: "Art Carney."
(Audience cheers.)
Jackie: “Good night.”
(Audience cheers.)
