I never knew this until today because I never watched Moesha. Wonder why she was allowed to make a guest appearance on another sitcom as a mother while playing on Family matters?

She played someone's mother but we never actually saw her do any mothering as her son was offscreen and she was just in one scene. Two and a half years later, she did come back as Hakeem's mother. Ironically, Hakeem guest starred on Family Matters a year and half before Jo Marie played Valerie Shaw on Moesha.
