4. James being killed off
5. Disappearance of one of the Awesome Foursome
6. No explanation for Carl disapperance
7. Cancer being part of a storyline.......way too serious for a sitcom
8. Too much Bookman
9. Thelma being stuck in the projects after Keith breaks his leg
10. The family starts struggling again once Florida returns
Would have been nice to see the Family be out of the projects before the show ended

LOL, That episode sucks, you could tell that the writers were showing up just for a paycheck.

I don't know why Michael just didn't admit he was to have sex with Cindy:lol:

I couldn't see Michael dating outside his race.
GARFIELDKOOL 10-06-2012, 03:50 PM I couldn't see Michael dating outside his race.
Especially how black he was when he was little. lol
GARFIELDKOOL 10-06-2012, 03:54 PM Keith! Plain and simple! Self explanatory. But one thing I noticed about Florida when James left, she wasn't as preachy and self-rightious and selfish when James was on. I actually liked her better in these episodes. I felt sorry for her because James wasn't on.
ThomasE 10-06-2012, 10:53 PM I don't know why Michael just didn't admit he was to have sex with Cindy:lol:
Don't be judging my homeboy like that. LOL. He was a 17 year old boy who was not thinking clearly and thought that logically this arrangement could work. I think Michael was more concerned about having his own space. Could something have developed? In the future, maybe? On;y time would tell.

Then why did he have a problem with Cindy Parents coming over to the house?-lol
Plus there was only 1 bedroom LOL. I ain't mad at Mike though, he was trying to be discrete about it
GARFIELDKOOL 10-07-2012, 10:29 AM One thing that tripped me out about the episode was that Michael of all people accused Florida of being prejudice of the arrangment! The militant midget and mr. pro-black of all people! But I know, Michael had matured by then.

I know, his statement........"It's too many people in here for me" was definitely a sign he matured

Who wants their roommate parents dropping by all of the time? Male or Female that would get annoying.

He shouldn't have cared if he was only there to study
Brieannas21 10-07-2012, 11:00 PM He shouldn't have cared if he was only there to study
He was going to be living there not just using it as a study hall.

I;m sure they wasn't going to be there everyday:lol:

3. Fishbone
/QUOTE]
I'll never understand what the writer's were thinkin of with "Fishbone". Where the hell did he come from? Everybody know's Ned The Wino was the "Favorite Wino" in the ghetto, not some stinkin fool named "Fishbone". I mean I didn't know what would be next after that, maybe Fishbone would be "Ratbone" from The Warlords dad or some corny stuff like that. Glad they never brought him back!

How so? His debut on Good Times coincided with the era that Soap started its first season.

His appearance on GT was in the spring of 1977 and his role on Soap was in the fall of 1977

The TVFactFan made an error. He filmed this episode while the 1st season of Soap was already in progress

I was juuuuuust about to call you out, man. You saved yourself quick. LOL. I know my TV. LOL. It's all good. We make the occasional error here and there.
Sonny Carson 10-08-2012, 08:28 PM Robert Guillame was great as Benson, but not as Fishbone!
TVFactFan 10-08-2012, 08:36 PM Robert Guillame was great as Benson, but not as Fishbone!
He was funny as Fishbone but his role was just confusing since GT fans were used to Ned the Wino
DavidDMI 10-16-2012, 07:32 AM the Keith character.I have nothing against the actor who played him,I just didn't think his character was that great.
TVFactFan 10-16-2012, 10:43 AM the Keith character.I have nothing against the actor who played him,I just didn't think his character was that great.
Why?
Yong Fang 10-23-2012, 01:54 AM 1. Penny
What was arong with Penny? She was cute. Actually the storyline of her abusive mother was very riviting and real.
2. J.J not being called James since he was older and more mature
6. No explanation for Carl disapperance
When Esther Rolle agreed to come back to the show, one stipulation was to drop the Carl character and pretend that he did not exist or that Florida ever moved away. Esther also wanted a change in the JJ character.
9. Thelma being stuck in the projects after Keith breaks his leg...
That miraculousy healed in the end. Also, wouldn't Keith be a college graduate and be able to get a job instead of living in the projects?
10. The family starts struggling again once Florida returns....
They had two extra mouths to feed. It was probably fun without grumpy Florida there ordering everyone around, with jive Willona being the step-mother and all.
