Today's show on the ME network was about rural post offices being closed, which is actually happening in my small town... Any whooo, Uncle Joe, Dr. Craig and the girls went to Washington to save the Hooterville P>O>. Uncle Joe rescued a dog caught ina fence and was thanked by a handshake from the President. The hand only was seen... but I thought Uncle Joe said something about "Dick".Was he referring to Nixon? I thought L.B.J. was President when it aired. Does anyone know?

Also, Kennedy was president when the show debuted (though, sadly, he only had two months to go), so it actually spanned three presidential administrations.
