Hey all, was watching some DVDs of the Stack originals this evening and recalled a case that really freaked me out as a kid. I think it was one of the later episodes. In the case, a man owned a ranch and hired what was purportedly a troubled man as a ranchhand. Eventually, somehow, this ranch hand managed to take over the entire ranch, moved into the main house with his family. Eventually the real owner's body was found in a basement. Anyone recall this one? The reenactment of it really creeped me out. I tried doing all kinds of searches, but had no luck.

The hand's name was Dave Freeman; the owner of the farm was Tim Good. Freeman was captured and found guilty of manslaughter, IIRC.

That episode still scared me, especially Dave Freeman's picture.

IIRC, Freeman is out of jail now.

I know "Dave Freeman" (forget his actual given name) murdered Tim Good, but sometimes UM would use other subject headings for segments involving murder (such as "Amnesia" with the Susan Laferte/Doreen Picard case): could this case be categorized as "Mind Control"?
