"The Good Wife" Swears In "West Wing’s" Stockard Channing as Alicia's Mom

Who's ready for a grandma showdown at the Florrick house?
Emmy and Tony winner Stockard Channing has been cast as Alicia's mom on "The Good Wife", TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Channing, 68, will appear in at least one episode later this year as the good wife's "mercurial parent who is influenced by her 1960s counterculture youth", according to Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the casting.
(Now we know where Alicia's brother, Owen, gets his free spirit!)
Alicia's mom, and her many marriages, have been referred to often on the show, but she has never been seen on the CBS drama -- until now.
"The Good Wife's" new season premieres Sunday at 9/8c on CBS.
