I like Jimmy Kimmel sometimes but he was a really lame host. Too low key with bad jokes.

The only good parts were the Modern Family skit with Lily, Jimmy Fallon/Stephen Colbert tackling Jon Stewart when he won, and Amy Poehler's bit with Julia Louis-Dreyfus

I haven't watched them in forever and the only award show I ever watch with any regularity is the Tony's. Event those weren't that great this past year, IMO.

The Emmy's are just really predictable lately. These critics who don't even watch TV, who don't CARE about TV, who have no expertise in TV and in particular, sitcoms and comedy. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? Like, I literally picture ten Scrooges in a room rushing to get things done so they can go home and count their money. Quality is not rewarded. Never was.

I happen to tune in when they started the In Memory of the stars that died this year, and once that was over, I started watching something else and never returned to the program. So no, I didnt watch the Emmys.

I think the correct term for people who watched is sheep, not saps.

I happen to tune in when they started the In Memory of the stars that died this year.

And once again they left a few out including:

Norman Alden
R.G. Armstrong
Luke Askew
Peter Breck
Frank Cady
Barry Cahill
Janet Carroll
Biff Elliott
Steve Franken
Don Grady
Andy Griffith
George Lindsey
George Murdock
Warren Stevens
Dick Tufeld
Garry Walberg
Yvette Wilson

Maybe some of these will get props next year.

Andy Griffith was the first one they showed. You must've missed him.

I haven't watched the emmys since the early 1990's . I got tired of the same old shows winning every year and most of them were shows I didn't like.

They've always awarded the wrong shows. 30 Rock was one of the few times they got it right, but even that got old after awhile. People on the 30 Rock team started rooting for their peers. The voters get extremely lazy.

Ron Howard introduced the memorial segment before the video and talked about Andy Griffith as his pictures were displayed all over the stage... so he actually got more than everyone else... he just wasn't in the video

And this would be why. Ron Howard opened talking about him.

Thanks, I didn't see the actual broadcast so that would definitely explain it. I'm still none-too-pleased that some of the others on my list were left out.
