After going off track last season, "The Office" seems to be back to its old self, especially with the help of original producer Greg Daniels.

I am in the minority, but I enjoyed the eighth season. One reason was the lack of Steve Carrell. I like Carrell, but his character was too much the headliner, during the eighth season, the show was a bit more of an ensamble.

Great to see a year of James Spader as Robert California. The Florida storyline was cool. David Koechner (sic?) as Todd Packer. Georgia Engel guest starred. The garden party with Andy's horrible parents. The swimming party at California's house. The return of David Wallace. Sorry folks, I really liked the eighth season.

I really hated that the writers wussed out and did not make Dwight the father of the baby. I thought this was going to be a major storyline, since Angela's husband is gay and Angela herself is very much about face. Then there is crazy, goofy Dwight actually being a father and pressing the issue to Angela to tell her husband.

Why did the writers drop the ball on this??

The Office is not the same for me since Steve Carell left the show. I think he was the best part of the show.

Couldnt stand Robert California. Carell did carry the show and he was sorely missed. The Fla storyline was good but Nellie/California just didnt do it for me.

I actually liked Robert California and thought he was very convincing as a boss.
