I have read a lot of things about this guy and nothing positive is ever said about him. I read that he is bitter towards the cast and crew of SBTB and that he doesn't get a lot of work these days. Sure, he may land a few roles here and there and was on a few reality shows in the past, but this guy isn't getting a lot of work like Mark-Paul Gosselar or Mario Lopez do, both of whom had their ups and downs post-SBTB, though MP was on NYPD Blue and is on Franklin & Bash.

I have also read that his book is not a great read. I don't think I would want to touch it with 20 foot pole, even if I saw it at a library.

I think what sort of hurt his career was that he still portrayed Screech even after The College Years had ended and stayed on in The New Class as Belding's assistant.

I remember people talking about how the creators of SBTB wanted to do a reunion movie, whether a TV movie or theatrical release, or just a simple reunion special with just the cast and crew. However, if that were to happen, I doubt Dustin Diamond would be part of it, being as bitter as he is and I have read that even the rest of the cast didn't really like him. I know most casts for TV shows have professional relationships, some don't always end up in friendships and just remain on a professional level, but I have read that no one ever liked him.

And what is Mark Paul doing? I haven't seen hair nor hide of him anywhere.

he's currently starring on Franklin and Bash and doing some movies in downtime

... as for Screech Powers - he's bitter because he's a loser and a one-trick pony; the only way he can get a laugh is by being "Screech", and he feels he's too good for that now. Every time I've seen him on any reality show, interview, or clips of his stand-up act (hah), he seems like a complete jerk and a douche.

LOL...I don't even know what Franklin and Bash is.

Didn't Dustin Diamond try and do porn or something unconventional at one point?

Sort of. Dustin tried his hand at the celebrity sex tape thing in a desperate, pathetic attempt to get attention. The video featured him and a couple of nasty white trash ho bags engaging in various sex acts, the most infamous of which is when Mr. Diamond gives one of the girls a "dirty sanchez." I'm not going to explain what that is if you don't know as it's too graphic for this board. Just Google it if you're curious.

You can probably find the video itself very easily on a streaming porn site if you like, but I really wouldn't recommend it. It's pretty gross.

So why hasn't Mark Paul Goosy done anything major since SBTB? He was the star of the show and looked like the next Rick Schroeder but then basically disappeared.

Mario Lopez has gotten a lot more attention since. I hated how he always tried to act so cool on SBTB but he really was NOT!!

Dead Man on Campus (major theatrical release; 1998)
NYPD Blue (2001-2005)
Commander in Chief (2005-2006)
Raising the Bar (2008-2009)
Franklin & Bash (2011-present)

Nothing major? Are you this silly on purpose? I'd argue that he's the most successful alumnus of the show.

I don't watch any of those shows so that's why! I haven't even heard of the last 3 you listed.

I've seen Mario Lopez on Extra and ET and stuff like that so he seems to have gotten more exposure than Goosy Goosy.

Oh, I see. So whether or not you, Big3sCompanysFan, have heard of a person's projects is the barometer of success.

Acting in critically-acclaimed dramas = obscurity; hosting entertainment gossip shows = Hollywood royalty.

Dustin once claimed that his parents stole money from him. This might have a lot to do with his bitterness.

That's what made Gary Coleman bitter too. He said his parents stole most of $18 million!

You mean Celebrity Fit Club? Yeah, I remember his shenanigans on that show. If that's the way he is in real life, then I don't understand how anyone can stand to be in his presence for more than 5 minutes.

I have found out that Dustin Diamond is having mental disorder problem. The Screech role did no good at him at all. He may need to seek private help from a therapist. We all cannot act ignorant on him!

Maybe because the other cast members he worked with as a kid and teenager years are all grown up and are more happier and successful then he will ever be in his adult life.

Or maybe the producers and writers made the original class too difficult and included him in a hurry at the same time, which is precarious!

It may have been revealed in this order:

1.) After the new class series ended in a weak way, some fabricated ghostwriter might be considered a prostitute (male or female) played tricks on Dustin Diamond, by luring him in the evil side.

2.) That prostitute may have controlled Dustin's mind by forcing him to write that bad book called "Behind The Bell" to give revenge on the other members of the original class main cast.

I have a feeling that:

1.) Dustin may need private help seeking a mental therapist.

2.) Dustin and that prostitute will next apologize to the other original class cast members for the threatening incident.

3.) The other original class cast members should apologize back to Dustin for being too difficult on him.

4.) The original class producers and writers should also apologize to Dustin for making the original class too difficult in a hurry and included him at the same time, which is precarious.

Right now, the original class should be aired on television in low publicity forever after that previous anniversary incident. It is also the only way to not let the brawl between normal fans and mental disabled fans of the original class resume.

LOL@Robyrob dissing Dustin hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I agree with everything you said. He's a loser and a douche. I don't know why he would be upset at his former co-stars on Saved By The Bell. What did they do to him for him to be so upset at them? They don't owe him anything. If he's upset that his acting career didn't take off, that's his fault. I was surprised to hear he did a sex tape because he ought to be lucky that any woman will sleep with him hahahahahahahahahahaha.

irehtman

It was not Dustin's complete fault neither was also the former co-stars' complete fault, isiahthomas.

It was the both the producers and writers of the original class that should be blamed for being in a hurry on both 1.) appraising too much difficulty along the way and 2.) including both Dustin and his Screech role in it at the same time.

Even if Dustin owed an apology to the co-stars for bashing, then the co-stars should owe an apology to Dustin for being too difficult.

The woman in that sex tape might be that ghostwriter that lured him into evil side, after the new class series ended, and then fabricated him to take revenge on the original co-stars.

The original class producers and writers appraised too much difficulty in the entire original class for no reason, even with Dustin and his Screech role in it.

I read in either Tiger Beat or Teen Bop magazine back in 1993 that, even if Dustin portrayed Screech well, Dustin argued that he wanted to quit playing the nerd for these reasons:

1.) Dustin and his role never gained more popularity as the other characters of the original class, according to the strict TV critics.

2.) The role him become a no good person and it attracted unwanted attention back then.

Dustin wanted to play something else than Screech, but it too difficult to let go.

So after college years series ended, they brought him back into the New Class to gain more relief and popularity from the new class students. It doesn't matter if he annoyed Belding or not.

Bottom line, isiahthomas:

"Both Dustin and his Screech role wanted relief which contains both better respect and popularity, which excludes difficulty."
