In the Joint episode when Theo came home with a joint in his book and Cliff said to him

"Listen to me, As long as you live in this house you are not to do drugs. When you move out and get your own place you are not to do drugs. When I;m dead and gone and you are 75 you are not to do drugs"

It was so unpredictable because you just knew Cliff was about to say..."When you move out on your own then you can do whatever you want

And then said when he is dead and gone like he can do something about then:lol:

I can just hear him saying that, too! I've probably seen that episode but I'm gonna look for it again. Bill Cosby is awesome!

You must need comedy training because it was creative comedy. The beginning of the joke set up the rest perfectly.

I know funny and I did not find it funny. I've heard a saying of that nature my whole life. My grandma use to say something like that and my mom use to say that same thing.

My grandma use to say "When I'm dead and gone and have turned to dirt and dust and you're grown with children of your own, don't you ever..... Do you hear me?" And my mom use to say the exact same thing and now I catch myself saying it.
