Penny's book was just terrific!

I downloaded the audio version (with Penny reading in her trademark *new yawk* voice) from iTunes and listened to it on my iPod. There are also 3 or 4 hour or more interviews with Penny about her life with Kevin Smith that can be downloaded for free on iTunes. I mention this only because in talking about the recording of the audiobook Penny said she caught a couple of errors and changed/added a few things that are not in the book.

The "Laverne & Shirley" section is interesting especially in how it was to suddenly deal with that level of fame. She talks about the ups and downs she and Cindy had during and after the show but it sounds like they are on good terms now and have "agreed to disagree" about some of the issues from the L&S years.

VERY curious placement of the word "Nuts" in the top picture!

Can't WAIT to read this! Still about 2/3 the way through Garry's latest book right now, but Penny's is next on my list!

Thoroughly enjoyed getting to see her back in interviews/articles as she promoted her book. Love her honesty and wit - excited to read about the L&S years and her marriage to Rob Reiner. Truly a talented lady who seems to be very respected within the Hollywood community.

What's with the attitude? It was the first time I had even heard that she wrote a book.

It was a good book. An easy read.

I really enjoyed it. The biggest complaint that I heard about it was the name dropping, but she's hung out with famous/on their ways to being famous people since the mid 60s. She also frequently mentions friends from her neighborhood, high school, and summer camps that she's stayed in touch with so my take away is that she values friendships. Her autobiography made me like her more.
