Where are the cable lovers?

If I had to make a choice then internet would win hands down. I've never had cable and Directv & Dish are too expensive considering what little I actually watch. I'm perfectly content with my digital antenna, converter box and the channels I currently receive which includes Antenna TV, ME-TV, This TV etc...If I didn't have internet, I couldn't sell on eBay so that's another factor.

Internet. You can actually see your favorite TV Shows that you haven't seen in awhile...cable doesn't do that!

Cable. I wouldn't be able to watch any channels at all without it. I'd miss the internet but I did go without it for 35 years. lol

Internet, there are only about 4 cable shows that I watch, and I can watch those online. Plus I use the internet a lot for work

INTERNET!!! Everything is going viral anyway so if you choose internet, you can avoid that hassle when there is no more Cable TV.

Internet. I have enough dvd's of my favorite shows and movies to last for months! And too, You can watch almost anything you want on the internet with Net Flix and YouTube to name a couple. So really I would miss the internet the most!:)

Can you see HBO shows on the internet?
Legally if you subscribe to HBO (HBO Go); illegally via other methods.

It really makes no sense for a person who doesn't watch sports to have cable. Especially when you can

Watch DVD's
Browse the Web
Watch Digital TV channels

Same here, all the tv stations are at least 50 miles away in Nashville & they don't always pick up that well with an antenna. We used to have a big dish & all the channels were free back in the 80's. I really miss those days. ;) But now we have cable & I'd rather have that than the internet if I had to make a choice.

When I lived in NC I could get 7 or 8 channels with an antenna. I can't get any here. I'd have to give up the NFL. I'd have to give up the way I watch my current shows. I hate watching tv from the internet. I like the internet because it's an extra to watching tv. I complain alot about current tv but if you have a DVR you can get around that. I can't even get Antenna TV or Me-TV without cable.

I feel such a sense of disconnect without the internet. I feel like I'm missing out on what is going on in the world. It really shows you how much our society has changed since the advent of the internet, in how we get our news and connect with others.

Internet for sure! I barely turn on my TV as it is unless I actually remember one of my shows is on. I watch more shows on the internet and DVDs then I do with cable.

I guess I can see how cable is less appealing to someone who is not a sports fan in 2012. 20 years ago it was no neflix, hulu.com, or abc.com so now you have more options to see your shows.

But the fact that Comcast Cable is still high lots of people must still have it

Cable schmable. Never had & probably never will. Give me the Internet any day! Just about the only thing I watch on TV is the news (and maybe The Office when I'm burning it to a DVD)

Internet. I'm getting so sick of the crap on TV. I do watch sports but I could listen to the game on the radio or go somewhere else and watch the game.
