This is a bit embarrassing to admit, but there's one episode of The Facts of Life that I haven't completely seen. Thing is, guys, I live in a country where FOL was never aired to my knowledge. And thus, obviously, the DVDs aren't available. So I have watched all the episodes on YouTube alone.

And there's just this Season 3 episode "The Marriage Brokers" where I haven't seen the beginning part. The only video of that episode has the girls dragging Mrs. Garret in, all dressed up to meet her guest. No cold open, no leading up. so can anyone help me here, pretty please?

So...no one? *sigh* can someone at least tell me what happens in the first 5 minutes?

Blair is cleaning off a plate into the garbage very slowly. Tootie says something like, "Blair, if you scraped those peas off two at a time, we might get out of here by noon." Then Blair explains that she wants the garbage to "last forever," and Natalie says that a date with Barnett Thornwood can't be that bad. Blair gives a list of supposed "nerd factors" describing Barnett. Then she explains that their fathers are business associates and she's obligated to go on a date with him. Jo comes out wanting the girls to hurry up because her "soap suds are dying in the sink." Blair tries to get Jo to go on the date with she and Barnett, but Jo refuses. That's basically it. Hope that helps.

But the youtube link came a bit too late--dunno if you guys have heard about the offensive video about Muslims called "Innocence of Muslims" (ironic, no?). Anyway, as a result of this, my government has just blocked Youtube in my country. Great fun.

But on a lighter note, thanks even more for the description; I think I saw a glimpse of the soap suds scene in a 'best moments' video or a gay subtext video, and I knew I couldn't place the episode. So something new to look forward to once Youtube gets unblocked (it's happened before, see)
