Such a terrible tragedy.

It seems like yesterday. If I think too long and too hard about it, I'll either fall apart or start screaming. We can never forget; we owe it to those we lost on that fateful day.

I didn't get to watch much of the ceremony but I have to say that what I saw of the memorial-the reflecting pools in general-are absolutely beautiful. And I don't know if this has been done before but the pictures they added when they were reading the names of the victims was wonderful. It made it more meaningful. Wish I could have seen more of it, but I was flying home from New Jersey. Kind of bittersweet to be flying on the 11th. I noticed that hte plane was rather empty and I couldn't help but wonder if people are still afraid to fly on the 11th or if it was just coincidental being that it's the off-season now and that it was a Tuesday..
Someone reading the names today said something so wonderful. She said that "Every person is a victim and every person deserves to be remembered." Beautifully stated.
Janice, out of all the people that posted on this thread, I think you and I are the only ones that were on Sitcoms Online when it happened. I remember all of us logging in over those awful few days, a little at a time. We were all there for each other, we were a family together.

I love when that happens. This is totally unrelated but I remember when Stanley Kammel (of Monk) passed away. I was posting a lot on the Monk/USA board (it was before I found this board I think), and it was very therapeutic to be able to talk to people online about my feelings since it's hard for me to do that in person. I wish I would have known about SO back when 9/11 happened, though. Sure would have helped.
