I certainly wasn't expecting Numb3rs on Hallmark. Home and Family doesn't need an encore at 1PM when it just finished airing an hour earlier. Their talk show block should be cut to 10-1. Then at 1PM they could bring back Mary Tyler Moore and The Bob Newhart Show, they deserve to be seen at a decent time.

Glad they are trying something new by adding Numbers but will their core audience watch it? Other than Numbers, the lineup is pretty stale.

Numb3rs?

That has no place on Hallmark. My impression was that Hallmark had moved away from crime programming and put what they had left (MSW, Matlock, Perry Mason), along with their crime movies, on Hallmark Movie Channel.

Will be gone by the end of October.

Numbers doesnt fit on the schedule. So they replace crappy talk shows with other crappy talk shows??

Didnt they have a talk show about a year or two ago with 2 women hosting it? It was on at noon, I think. That failed.

Im a little surprised Emeril and Martha Stewart failed because people know who they are.

I don't know why the insist on keeping this Home block going. Wasn't Martha Stewart and the other home programming a flop? It seems to me that their sitcoms do much better.

Yes, it was. The numbers for Martha were terrible as were they for most of the other stuff in that time. I can see them airing Marie Osmond, but that Home and Family stuff is just stupid, encoring it even more. I don't see why the block can't be trimmed.

I remember before "Home" they aired Who's The Boss and I Love Lucy around lunch. That was so much better!

Other than Me-TV and Antenna TV, this is the Fall 2012 schedule I've been most anxious to see.
I am very pleased that the midnight to morning schedule of The Golden Girls, Cheers, Frasier, and I Love Lucy is still intact.
In my opinion, it's by far the best channel to watch during any sleepless nights.
The only disappointment for me is that I was hoping they would bring back the Mary Tyler Moore and Bob Newhart shows for more than the brief time they aired back in the Spring, but luckily I can still watch those weeknights on Me-TV!

I used to feel the same way when the schedule looked like this

2am-Bob Newhart
230am-Bob Newhart
3am-Bob Newhart
330am-Bob Newhart
4am-Mary Tyler Moore
430am-Mary Tyler Moore

Not now:lol:

I know the blog covered the move of Home & Family/Marie to 9am-1pm and the Home & Family encore to 4pm-6pm, but in the past couple of weeks (sometime since they went to all-Christmas movies), they've adjusted it again. Home & Family and Marie now air from 8am-12pm (Marie at 8am and 11am, Home & Family 9am-11am).

Not sure what they'll do come January, but I think it would be best for them to forget trying to encore the lifestyle programming in the afternoon. Do they still have rights to Bob Newhart and Mary Tyler Moore? Both would fit well with The Brady Bunch.

NUMB3RS has been airing on Hallmark Movie Channel on Monday nights the past couple of weeks.

If you look through Hallmark's "Shows" section on their website, it has started updating with the non-Christmas shows and movies that are going to be airing in January, even though the schedule has not posted yet for any time past the 3rd week of December. The Brady Bunch, The Golden Girls, The Waltons, Lucy, Frasier, Little House, Cheers, etc. are there, but now on that list is Happy Days.

Just going by the way their website works, it appears that it might have been acquired it to air next month. I believe it last aired there in 2002. Hallmark and INSP seem to be trying to be like each other.

I have always liked Hallmark. Not a fan of their scheduling, though, and horrible treatment of some shows (such as MTM and Bob Newhart).
I like their original movies if they aren't too...yeah...corny. Can't say the same for Lifetime's.

I wonder when they will schedule Happy Days and The Brady Bunch since INSP airs both from 5pm-7pm. I'm thinking early afternoons and/or late nights. I love The Golden Girls, but it'd be neat to see them try something else at midnight after all of these years. I hope the Home block stays from 8am-noon and doesn't creep back in to afternoons.

Hallmark is certainly expecting a lot of Happy Days and The Brady Bunch. If they don't do well, I'm afraid they'll get sent to late nights and replaced with Little House.
It's a shame Bob Newhart and Mary Tyler Moore didn't get that kind of scheduling. I'm glad NUMB3RS is gone (figured it would flop) and Home and Family is now just 8am-12pm.

The Brady Bunch will certainly be getting a lot of exposure. I forget Viacom has (or maybe had) the rights to it in addition to INSP and even its weekend airings on Me-TV. Happy Days aired on Hallmark in 2001 and 2002 I think.

Frasier continues to be the misfit on the schedule, IMO. It just doesn't fit with the rest of the lineup....surprised it must do well.

Happy Days is not the first time it was on the Hallmark Channel. It was on the late 90s and early 2000s back when it was Odyssey.

The new line up looks good but, Remember!!!! Hallmark is very impatient waiting for an audience to build and Brady Bunch and Happy Days might only last a couple of days. Their track record is horrible for keeping shows. We will keep our fingers crossed but I would not be surprised if the shows last one week or so.

This is better than the schedule they had before. Two things I would have done, don't have the movie on Friday night, keep Happy Days there. They have enough movies on Saturday and Sunday. And put I Love Lucy at 4-6PM, it deserves a better slot than 6AM. The Golden Girls already has a decent slot at midnight, it could even take 6AM if Lucy had afternoons.

Got to admit thats a pretty good schedule. Hopefully they will keep it up. Not to nitpick and again, feel free to disagree, but one thing I would have done is cut back on the sitcoms. I would still have the sitcoms but not in 2hr. blocks. 1hr. for each block. I Love Lucy, The Golden Girls, Happy Days, Brady Bunch on for 1hr. each. I dont know what I would do to replace the extra 4 hrs. that you would have.

Good schedule but couldn't they have put Cheers on for more than an hour since it ran for 11 seasons? Every other show seems to have between 4-8 airings/day. I don't mind that it's on at just 2am but it takes forever to get through the series.

I would've given Lucy a better time slot as well. Sometime in the weekday mornings or afternoons would've been nice. :)
At least it's on TV again. I think there was a while where nobody was airing it. At least I couldn't find it anywhere!!!

Not that I have anything against it, because I've never even seen it, but Numb3rs seems like the odd show out on this network to me.

Hallmark has rarely aired Cheers outside of the late night hours. I don't think it has done well for them. INSP should move Little House in to the evening/primetime hours since Hallmark is moving it in to afternoons. I think it would benefit them.

I agree, I would air Lucy in the afternoons from 4-6pm and shuffle late nights to Cheers 2-4a, Frasier 4-6a, and Golden Girls 6-8a. However, it is worth keeping in mind that, like an earlier poster said, Hallmark has low tolerance for shows that don't meet their expectations. Who knows, though, Who's The Boss was a surprise hit for them.

FWIW, Perry Mason and Matlock will be back on the Hallmark Movie Channel alongside Murder, She Wrote starting January 2nd.

This is not a bad schedule all i would remove Little House On The Prairie or Frasier and bring back Who's The Boss? it was awesome when they aired because it had been 2 years since comcast took off tubetime and i hadn't watched til 2 years later when Hallmark brought and it was great and i completely agree with the 4PM-6PM time slot for I Love Lucy but i don't think that will happen atleast not for awhile and i hope they still air We Love Lucy maybe another weekend marathon or something even tho i have them all as The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour mostly on unedited on DVD. One more thing i like that Happy Days is coming and especially The Brady Bunch but i can understand 2 hour blocks for all the other shows because they had alot more seasons / episodes but for The Brady Bunch i don't think its a wise idea because they only have 5 seasons and i know atleast 1 if not 2 or 3 seasons was a short one, So what i'm saying is it gonna run out the whole series so fast that most of their main viewers would get board of re watching the series so fast and it would lose rating and get removed, Other than that i'll wait or should i say will wait and see what happens.

It looks like Hallmark has already changed their minds and the new schedule has not even started....

They keep changing the times for the Home block nearly every week. Currently, and from what I see on the schedule for the foreseeable future, Home & Family airs from 8-10AM with an immediate repeat from 10-12PM, then Marie now airs back to back at 12PM and 1PM. Since October, they've moved it quite often.

Starting January 2nd, according to their schedule, Happy Days is now to be 2-4PM (in addition to 8-10PM) with the rest as scheduled. From the looks of things, Little House and The Waltons will be gone completely.

"Marie" must be struggling. I'm in shock.
You don't move shows around like that if they're doing well. Hallmark should really give up on the lifestyle programming. I can't believe they tried again after the Martha Stewart debacle. If they have to show that stuff, 8am-12pm is the best....extending it in to the afternoon won't do any better.

Hallmark has never, in its history, gone without a drama on the schedule. The schedule they have for next month won't last and LHOTP/The Waltons will be back, bank on it. Those shows do to well for them.

The problem with Hallmark Channel is that they have no identity. There all over the place with there schedule. You literally dont know when the shows will change times because they always do. They need a little stability. They should cut there losses with this Home and Family stuff if its not working.

10am-12pm Little House on the Prairie (It's Back!!!!)
12pm-2pm The Brady Bunch
2pm-4pm I Love Lucy (Great Slot!!!)
4pm-6pm Happy Days
6pm-8pm I Love Lucy
8pm-10pm Happy Days
10pm-12am The Brady Bunch

So now primetime is all-Frasier? That's crazy.

They are FLYING through the Brady Bunch episodes with 6 episodes a day. I wish they'd air I Love Lucy in the afternoon.

It sucks because I have gotten into Matlock but it's only available on Hallmark HD. Don't have that on DirecTV. :(

I have a feeling that they'll make a change soon. I mean from 2pm to 8pm, they air 2 shows. There flying through both Brady Bunch and Happy Days.

Actually. They do. It's on Hallmark Movie Channel HD. And, it's part of the HD add on package.

That's how I got back into Matlock. I was bored one Saturday back in 2011 and I ran across it on that channel. They have marathons almost every other weekend!

If you pay for the $10 HD bonus pack. It's channel 580.
