Blake Lively Marries Ryan Reynolds in Marchesa

Blake Lively is now the face of Gucci Premiere' fragrance, and of course, has been wearing Gucci to most events of late. But for the biggest day of her life -- her secret wedding to Ryan Reynolds this weekend -- she wore a one of a kind Marchesa couture bridal ballgown with a hand draped silk tulle bodice, adorned with custom crystal and rose gold embroidery.
And each member of her bridal party wore a unique custom blush silk chiffon Marchesa gown with crystal embroidered detail -- that's a lot of Marchesa and a lot of beautiful fabric we're talking about.
This is absolutely an enormous coup for Marchesa owner/designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, who will be showing spring 2013 on Wednesday in New York this week, in Vanderbilt Hall of Grand Central Station. They launched their first perfume this week as well, at Sephora on Fashion's Night Out. Lively could obviously chosen Gucci or any one of a million labels -- Chanel, Dior, Oscar del a Renta -- so this is a real prime feather in Marchesa's considerable cap.
Marchesa is really starting to corner the eveningwear market -- one reason being that their gowns are so elaborate with so much workmanship and fantasy elements. They're perfect for bridal, that's for sure.
Of course, Chapman's husband is Harvey Weinstein -- so this isn't the worst career move Lively -- who's leaving "Gossip Girl" to really attempt major movie stardom -- ever made. No dumb girl, she.
Clearly Ryan Reynolds likes fashion girls. And blondes. His ex, Scarlett Johansson, is now the face of Dolce & Gabbana.
