Just curious what do yall do for a living?

I don't work; I'm on disability.

I was working as a tax consultant for the Posse Comitatus but quit because I wasn't making any money. I now work out of my garage,people bring their cars for me to work on or I fix washers/dryers and occasional roofing jobs.

I work full time in a factory, and write freelance for a local newspaper.

I work in a factory which is only 3 minutes from home. What I save on gas I can spend on records/lps :happyface

My two most recent jobs:

Caregiver for my mom (since Nov., 2004)
Machine operator at cosmetics company (Oct., 1988 to Nov., 2004)

The last company I worked for was only 4 miles away. It was/is great having a job close to home! If there wasn't much traffic, I could get to work in 12-15 minutes.

I'm a Computer Graphic Designer, have been for 12 years, and for the past seven I help run a national promotional employment agency that gets people jobs based strictly on their talents, skills and quite often hobbies.

Well, if I can ever get my ticket I got in PA paid off, I still owe them $835, then I can get back into truck driving, something I've done for 12 years. I really miss it, mostly because it's excellent money. I also miss seeing the country. For the time being, I am working as a temp. This temp agency works with the school board and they have me work at whatever school cafeteria needs help. Lately I've been working at this same school, the manager there is a friend and co-worker of my sis, so she knows me and knows my work ethic so she's been letting me work at her school. It's only part time, so I'm trying to find another job, hopefully with the holidays coming up, I can finally get hired somewhere!!!

I got told that recently. An local establishment put an ad on Craigslist that they were hiring. I applied, then checked back a week later, the guy told me he wasn't hiring anybody, in fact, he said he needed to cut back on staff. What??? Then why did they even post an ad hiring????

my last job wasi n 2000 i baged gericos at bi lo i hated it. i worked 3 summmers when i was in high shcool at ymca camp i liked it i was a jantoir i didn't like it much i got to meet some cool people and got t o listne to my music when i worked i hadn't had a job in 10 or 12 years I'm on disability if i did get a job i like to be something with computers or moives.

He probably lied to you. Didn't want to hire you for some reason. I have had many employers do that to me. I wouldn't like it of course, but I'd respect it if an employer was honest with me and told me the real reason they didn't want to hire me, but it seems many employers are cowards. I heard they are even letting people go through an email now. How disgusting!!!

Yeah, I went to another place where I asked them for an application, the girl working there asked the other guy where the applications were, and he said to me that he wasn't looking for anybody right now. I said OK, he said Sorry, and I told him Thank you for being honest with me. Alot of employers "him haw" around, try to give excuses, I can't stand that, either. Why can't they just tell me some truth??
