3 years ago, I went to a car dealer here where I live and tried to get a 2005 Honda Accord for $2500 down and monthly payments. It was $11995 full price for the car. I was working a good job at the time for over 2 years and they still refused me based on my credit score, which wasn't too bad, but not enough to qualify for their program. I even told them I could get a bigger down payment of $4000 as it was close to Income tax refund time and still they refused me. I'm working a new job now paying better money and could even afford a better vehicle. I just got a call from that same dealer asking if I ever got the car I wanted. I told them no because I never did. He says. "Well now we can finance you on a brand new Honda Accord for"---Get this---"$2500 down and $485 a month." I asked him how when I was refused just 3 years ago by the same dealership. He just told me that they made some changes in their Financing program. I couldn't believe it. Now I know the economy is bad if these guys have to reevaluate their financing program as I was told they are very difficult to get credit With. I am going to pay them a visit when I get back because who doesn't want a brand new car?
